MEET DR RIEL
Senior Pastor
Dr. 'Riel Osabuohien has been ministering God's word since teenage and founded Word Pasture Church as an undergraduate of Optometry in the University of Benin, Edo state, Nigeria. He has a strong zeal to help people get it right in life and with God, and this has constantly fueled his teachings, outreach programs and publications.
Without any sense of mystery, he is a down-to-earth passionate pastor and teacher of God's word whose teachings have consistently brought clarity of many truths that have been misunderstood in the Body of Christ. He has answered many questions that lurk within the hearts of men, thus drawing many to living for and serving the Lord Jesus until He returns.
He convenes regular outreach programs in different parts of Nigeria as Making the Most, The Word is Near You, Money Business and Economics and Love and the Word, which touch on different aspects of Life. He is also the chief editor of the free monthly publication The Shepherd's Diary.
Describing himself as "a lean-looking, angel-blessing, demon-chasing machine sent through time to bring people God's word", he constantly uses wise and powerful illustrations to demystify the concept of Christianity, thus helping people get comfortable with knowing and serving God with their lives.
He is married to Faith who is a powerful minister of God and a nurse, and they have two lovely sons, Aeidein, and Eliron. Together they run Friel's Eye clinic and Friel's Bridal outfit both in the heart of Benin city, Nigeria.
